PRAYER LIST: Every once in a while, we need to update our ongoing prayer list. Please let the office know if the names that you included should remain on the list or be removed. Thank you for helping to keep this up to date.
“C” Dollar Bills for the Union Mission - Christ Church Charity. An almost painless way to support the Union Mission. As of August 10, 2025, the accumulated total donated to the Union Mission is $3251. Thanks to all who have helped to reach this amazing total one dollar at a time. The donation jar is on the table in the vestibule.
Flower sign up – There is an altar flower sign up in the Chapel for 2025. If you would like to sponsor the altar flowers for a specific day during the year, please put your name on the calendar for that date. Flowers are $45.00 for two vases. Make checks payable to Christ Church – put flower fund in the memo.
IDENTITY WEAR: We are offering members of the congregation a chance to purchase identity wear. Wayne and Ellen Sautter bought shirts at Chautauqua last year and many people have noticed them and asked about them. The design is free. They are available in many sizes. On the front, it will say: Christ UCC, Latrobe, PA. The shirts will be 50 % cotton/50% poly navy blue with the white and red printing. The church name and address will be white. We had identity wear many years ago provided by Ken Repko’s company. Ours are quite worn by now. If you would like to take a stand as a “woke Christian”, please fill out the order form provided with your name and size, and we will order them from Unity Printing here in Latrobe. The price is $26 @ for less than 24 and $24 @ for 24 or more. There is a sign up sheet in the chapel.

Bienvenue will meet on Wednesday, September 3rd, at 12:30 p.m. We will meet at Carol and Dave’s Roadhouse Restaurant, 122 North Market Street, 2nd Floor, Ligonier. All the ladies of the Church are welcome.

The Lay Life and Mission Committee will meet on Tuesday, September 2nd, at 2:00 p.m. in the Conference Room.
The Lay Life and Mission Committee would like to thank all those who helped make the Flea Market and Used Book Sale a very successful event. The total profit was $3,483.93 (Fleas $1,215.18; Used Books $756.75; Food $1,032.00; Baskets $480.00).
The Lay Life and Mission Committee will be packing lunches for Meals on Wheels on September 8th thru September 12th. If you would like to give a monetary donation to defray the costs, please see Stephanie. Thank you in advance.
PLEASE MARK YOUR CALENDARS: The Lay Life and Mission Committee will hold their, last of the season, Soup and Salad Bar on Wednesday, October 15th, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The price is $12.00. See you there!
The Lay Life and Mission Committee have chosen the Westmoreland Food Bank for the AUGUST mission. The Westmoreland Food Bank provides a valuable resource in the fight against hunger. By acquiring foods through the generosity of local donations, USDA commodities, and government food assistance programs, we help ensure that at-risk individuals of all ages have access to nutritious fresh foods and non-perishable items. We are collecting regular sizes of peanut butter and cereals (NO large/family size). Please place them in the box marked “Food Bank” provided in the Chapel by August 31st. Thank you for supporting this worthy cause.
The Blessing Box is an ongoing mission, if you would like to donate to this cause, there is a blue Rubbermaid box in the Chapel marked “Blessing Box” for food and personal items. Thank you in advance for your support.
